Ava, a 78 year old writer, has a significant writers block and is training an AI system based on online conversations from her previous, more creative years. As the phone calls go on, and Ava reflects with the AI about past, memory and time, her body starts undergoing a series of mutations. The camera, acting with the same physical properties as air, travels back and forth the inside of her body.
